15th August, Independence Day, is celebrated as a national holiday in India, commemorating the nation’s independence from the british in 1947. On this day, the provisions of the 1947 Indian Independence Act, which transferred legislative sovereignty to the Indian Constituent Assembly, came into effect. India attained independence by  following the non-violent resistance and civil disobedience. The National Flag of India is hoisted at the Red Fort in Delhi, followed by the Prime Minister’s speech.

Students of our school have used their creative mind and made decorative items from waste materials, using the colours of our tricolour falg.
