A picnic is not just eating a meal but a pleasurable state of mind. Everyone needs a day off from the mundane routine to relax and have some quality time with friends. This need of students was understood and so a picnic was organised for them. It was an educational trip to the Statue of Unity. The trip fulfilled the twin motives of education as well as amusement.
